The St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Auxiliary performs several activities throughout the year. These activities help to generate hundreds of dollars used to support the hospital. Recent purchases have been monitors for the emergency, medical/surgical and SCU departments, a security cart and outdoor signage. Stickers and coloring books are also provided by the auxiliary for the children (patients) in the emergency department. The auxiliary also makes a annual donation to the Community Food Pantry, SIH Family Friendship Fund, Masonic Children's Home (to buy shoes for the children) and contributes to health education scholarships.

• Sunset Corner Gift Shop: The gift shop is located to the left of the hospital lobby, and is open 9am-3pm M-F; Saturday & Sunday afternoons. The Gift Shop Team members serve an important role as public relations representatives for St. Joseph Memorial Hospital. These individuals must have good organizational and communication skills, have the ability to do several things at once, possess bookkeeping skills, operate a cash register and make change. Members must enjoy working with people. Working hours can be arranged in 3-5 hour blocks of time.
• Bear Brigade: Auxiliary members create bears to give to the children who are patients in the emergency department. The members use their creative skills to hand draw faces, cut fabric, machine stitch, stuff and hand stitch each bear. A heart is added to the left front of each bear. The bears are made with love and attention to detail to give each bear a personality.

  • Victorian Bed Turning: As you remain seated, this Quilt Show unfolds. Experience the history and uniqueness of quilts presented from the stage. Enjoy the stories as each quilt is described, then "turned" to reveal another work of art.
  • Handmade Quilt Raffle
  • Books are Fun Book Fair: Held twice a year.
